American Metalcraft seeks to emulate our Stone Age brethren's culinary prowess with its melamine faux slate platter. Our predecessors were wonderful bakers and only insisted on the best slate to serve their unshorn, whiskered mates. Being a student of bygone times, we love the 18" long and 8-1/2" wide black rectangular platter that resembles its model of metamorphic rock and volcanic ash. It's wonderful for all your baked goods and occasional leg of elk. The stunning black finish is a great backdrop to show off your many foods' texture and colors: sushi is standout, butter cookies are beauteous, donuts are delightful. Melamine is lightweight, chip and break resistant, and keeps it color for its lifetime. It's fine to place in the dishwasher, or if following caveman kitchen protocol, head to your nearest bubbling brook.
