Top down air flow, along with foamed-in-place insulation, helps maintain a consistent temperature in the range of -8°F to 0°F. A preprogrammed Carel digital controller features an easy-to-read LED display and initiates an automatic defrost cycle for worry-free use. Two positive self-closing doors include recessed handles and locks for security after hours. A microswitch on the door turns off the evaporator fans while the doors are open, conserving energy. Inside, 6 plastic-coated steel shelves, installed with K-clips, offer multiple frozen storage configurations. Each shelf has a load capacity of 90 pounds. Interior incandescent lighting, activated by a door switch, enhances visibility.
