This extra-large capacity Hamilton Beach Electric Rice Cooker/Warmer allows the operator to prepare up to 45 cups of uncooked rice, resulting in 90 cups of cooked rice, in one batch. Not only for rice, it can also be used to cook large quantities of grits, oatmeal, porridge, even macaroni and cheese. It's insulated double-wall construction and a heated lid ensure even cooking each time. Just add rice and water, push a button, and walk away. Program settings include long grain rice, short grain rice, and heat/simmer. The versatile heat/simmer function maintains the correct temperature to help prevent boil over. A digital countdown timer starts when 10 minutes remain in the cooking process, and a tone sounds when cooking is done. It automatically shifts to keep warm mode, and a count up timer runs for 8 hours, so the operator knows how long the rice has been warming. Nonstick inner cooking pot has handles for effortless removal and cleaning. Achieve consistent results regardless of operator; the clear, visible water line markings assist with accurate liquid measurement. The stainless steel lid has a strong trigger handle to make it easy for operators to open and close. The hinged lid is attached to the base, which means it takes up less counter space. An integrated moisture cup keeps drips off of the counter. This rice cooker has been tested and approved to meet product safety standards for cETLus and ETL sanitation (conforms to NSF/ANSI Std. 8).
